Laizhou, the stone capital of China, starts its stone industry

The half-year summary analysis meeting of the city sounded the rallying call of the great dry fast and the sprint for the whole year. Li Yonggang, Party Secretary of Laizhou: The stone industry peaked at more than 30 billion yuan in 2015 and 2016, and reached 440 million yuan last year. At present, the platform company is taking over the three stone mines. After taking over the three stone mines, the first mining right will be obtained by August 12, and the other two mining areas will be obtained successively in September and October.

The efficient restart of the stone industry is an epitome of Laizhou. By grasping the transformation of momentum and cultivating and expanding industrial clusters, Laizhou has built a "6+4" industrial structure and development pattern. To promote the transformation and upgrading of six traditional industries, namely gold, machinery manufacturing, auto parts, stone, cultural tourism and Marine economy, seize the three leading industries of Shandong Gold, China Gold and Ruihai Mining, accelerate the construction of eight key gold projects with a total investment of 28 billion yuan, and realize the expansion of the gold industry, strengthening science and technology, and extending the chain.

Li YONGGANG, Party Secretary of LaiZHOU: The current gold production is about 20 tons a year. In the future, the two mines, Ruihai and Zhongjin, will be in production by 2024. After the production is put into operation, together with the expansion of Shandong gold capacity, all these will add up to 50 tons of gold in the next five years. Considering that the output value of the whole industry in the city is more than 100 billion yuan in five years, I am afraid that the gold sector will account for half of the total, about 50 to 50 billion yuan.

There are more than 3,000 stone enterprises in the city, with nearly 500,000 cubic meters of stone waste mined annually, 25 million square meters of plate processing annually, and more than 150,000 pieces of carved and special-shaped stone.
